People are choosing to keep their buying more localized and are more willing to support the smaller shops in lieu of the larger department store. There are many perks to shopping in a small clothes shop, one of them being the fact that they will have more current styles than the larger department stores. One reason for this is because they have a smaller overall stock that they have to deal with each season. Since they are only buying a fraction of the merchandise that large department stores are buying, they are usually able to get rid of their stock more efficiently.

Perhaps there’s a clothes shop in your town that you just haven’t checked out yet. It might be a hole in the wall, but if you are a fan of fashion at all, it would be wise to check it out. These shops are also more willing to do special orders and order specifically for the people that frequent their store. For instance, if you are a great lover of long dresses, a smaller clothes shop will be more likely to put a few on special order just for you to look at.
