Bansky: a Graffiti Artist

Bansky, once a spray-painting graffiti artist, now works largely with stencils as his medium. His art career began in Great Britain, and he is still anonymous today. His work includes prints as well; they are available in canvas and even as laptop covers.

Much of his appeal stems from the fact that his identity is unknown and his current and past street graffiti is politically satirical. Another exciting characteristic of this mysterious artist is that he doesn’t sell his artwork, himself.

Bansky prints are available to purchase online. His current artwork is mostly in stencils. You can get his artwork put on sweaters and hoodies, and handbags, etc. There are Bansky books and jigsaw puzzles, also Bansky prints for framing, and on canvas.

He recently held an art show and exhibition, in Bristol, for two days without any one knowing he set it up. That’s what keeps this guy so interesting. He doesn’t want anyone to know his identity, so, of course we want to. The website made it sound like his artwork is quite expensive and so does the fact that he is such an enigma. It makes you want to buy his work; he’s a very interesting artist.
